Spring is in full swing… It’s official, BBQ and salad season is upon us. My favourite thing about May is spring lamb. We’ve been working closely with Stream Farm and are now awaiting the arrival of first lamb.
Not only do Stream Farm produce the best organic lamb I’ve tried, but they also supply us with well aged Dexter Beef. Dexters provide delicious meat. They’re much smaller than other breeds and, the best thing is, the herd are within 5 miles of the hotel, which makes them truly local. Check out Stream Farm online – they have open days which make a great family day out.
Other May favourites include peas, broad beans, morels, samphire, radishes, asparagus, and wild garlic. Don’t forget… once the wild garlic flowers, it’s on its way out. So enjoy it while you still can.
We’re going to write a bit about superfood salads and healthy eating in the coming weeks. This will hopefully inspire you to get your beach body ready after all the winter comfort eating.
